A Sales Associate position at Jeff Smith Automotive is different from ordinary auto sales.

Responsibilities
Jeff Smith Automotive Sales Associates act as ambassadors to our customers, listening to their needs, solving problems, and making sure everyone has a great experience.

Sales here is not about standing on a car lot ? you can get out into the community, establishing relationships, referrals and being creative.

Jeff Smith Automotive Sales Associates often connect with Salespeople, Account Reps and Account Executives at other dealerships, as well as realtors, wireless staff, and others, and offering them bonuses for referrals. You'll spend quite a bit of your week on the phone collaborating about sales leads.

Our Sales Associates enjoy a balanced work week, and Sundays are always off.

Other duties include everything you might expect: talking cars, prices, driving around with the customers, handling paperwork, arranging things, following up, being nice, and helping your fellow Sales Associates.

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 18+ years of age
  • Sales experience ideal (Account Executive, Account Rep, Outside Sales, Automotive Sales, Wireless Sales, Inside Sale, etc.) or customer service experience also works (retail, restaurant, etc.)
  • Interest in cars and auto-related topics
  • Motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must love working with people!
  • Ability to pass background check

Automotive Service Technician

Description

Job Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.


Job Responsibilities:
o Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
o Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts, inform team leader if vehicle is awaiting parts and pursue special order of parts if necessary
o Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by customer
o Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer
o Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
o Notify service consultants immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs can not be completed within the time promised
o Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order using the concern, cause and correction format
o Road-test vehicles to check work performed
o Ensure that customer vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced
o Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
o Attend factory sponsored training classes
o Keep shop area neat clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times
o Understand and follow federal, state and locate regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste
o Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company's vision, mission and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
o Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
o Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals

 

Required Experience

Qualifications:
o Must meet company's requirements for employment
o Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
o General mechanical skills
o Must have a valid driver's license
o Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
o Professional appearance
o Manual dexterity, good judgment and ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely
o Three years of work experience as a service technician (preferred)
o Demonstrated customer service skills
o ASE certification (preferred)



Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
o Exposure to inclement weather
o Ability to operate an automobile
o Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and bending
o Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater then 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
o Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and or pulling of arm or leg controls, or requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and /or pulling of materials
